How was your weekend? Well since you heard from me last, I had my championship basketball game. We ended up losing, but it was a lot of fun so that’s all that really matters!
Yesterday was sort of a typical Sunday around here. I did a lot of studying and took some breaks where I prepped for the week. Last week I mentioned that I spend about 1-2 hours preparing some food for the week. This week I decided to snap a photo to show you the fruits of my labor! ;)
I made a batch of hard boiled eggs, chopped up some veggies and a pineapple, baked chicken breasts, made some soup and quinoa, and lastly I went ahead and portion sized some snacks to take on the run.
I also managed to do some cleaning around the apartment and of course had to do some laundry. Quite the productive Sunday!
One thing that was different about yesterday is that I took the day completely off from working out or even waking up early. No alarm was set and by the time I woke up, it was clear that my body needed the rest! This morning I felt well rested and decided to get up and squeeze in 30 minutes of yoga before work. It had been seriously too long since I’ve done yoga! I really enjoyed the stretches and using different muscles.
Yesterday I actually went ahead and made this breakfast so that this morning all I had to do was warm it up. Talk about preparation working to your advantage!
