Vanilla Almond Protein Smoothie
Protein powders are great to refuel with. I found the added calories and protein are essential to the recovery of muscles after long runs, lifting weights, or any kind of physical activity. Some protein powders can be loaded with sugar and other additives, which kind of defeats the purpose of recovering in a healthy way.
The other day I stumbled across Designer Whey protein powder that has 100 calories, 18g protein, and 2g sugar! It’s 100% whey protein, which is typically easier on your digestive system. Not only that, but it tastes amazing! I ended up buying the French Vanilla, because really you can’t go wrong with that. They have so many different flavor options that I can’t wait to try out, though!
